Spatio-Temporal Changes of Land-Use/Land Cover Change and the Effects on Ecosystem Service Values in Derong County, China, from 1992–2018

Monitoring the spatio-temporal variation of land-use/land cover change (LULC) and ecosystem service value (ESV) changes will help achieve regional sustainable development management. Derong County is a part Hengduan Mountains area, most crucial ecological functional area in China, LULC has changed tremendously past 30 years. However, effects on services not well understood. Based 1992, 1995, 2005, 2013, 2018 remote sensing images, we used visual interpretation to obtain data global coefficients modified local assess spatial-temporal ESV from 1992 2018. The results showed that: (1) From 2018, shrubland grassland decreased, while built-up land, snow, forestland, water body, cropland increased. (2) with an overall decrease 0.25 × 108 yuan, projects have played positive role improving ESV. In contrast, main factor was increase agricultural economic urban expansion (3) spatial distribution indicated density decline, greatest deterioration Dianyagong. highest distributed Waka, lowest Bari. This research points out important life support system provides scientific reference for management dry-hot valley regions’ land resources services.
